The Mighty Richland Players have
offered a combination dinner and theatrical performance at the
Orangeville, Illinois, Masonic Lodge/IOOF Hall since 2001.
We are an all-volunteer sub-group of
ACT, A Community Together, which is a non-profit community
development organization. Now beginning our seventh season, we offer
seating for 54. Book now for the best selection and the shows you
want to see!
History: The Mighty Richland Players was modeled on the Goldenrod Showboat that toured the Mississippi and was docked near the St. Louis Arch from 1926 through the 1970s. Meals: Our meals are catered by Tammy Jo's Restaurant here in Orangeville and feature everything from comfort food and vegetarian dishes to holiday specials. Location: Productions take place in the Orangeville Masonic Lodge on the south side of High Street, across from Cramer Funeral Home. Built in 1876, the lodge hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Italianate Victorian design structure recently underwent a $150,000 restoration and continues to serve as the only meeting place for the village's fraternal orders. Announcement: Join us for our 2009 season! Productions include "Bosh and Moonshine," a musical comedy starring national playwright Mike Craver in May; "Murdered to Death," a murder mystery comedy in September; and a Christmas Madrigal in November/December. Early Bird Season Tickets (purchased before Dec. 25, 2009) are $90 for all three shows. After Dec. 25, tickets are $105 for all three shows. Individual tickets are also available. Call us at (815) 819-1310 for details.
